I have always been interested in music since I was 14 years old. That moment is still fresh in my mind; my arts teacher played us a song on his guitar. It was so captivating that I had to ask him to each me. So, I started off play the guitar. The next year I joined the school's band.
But my post as a guitarist lasted only for a year, for a reason which I began playing drums. Our drummer left the band, in fact he left the school, and I was assigned his role! Playing drums has since been my main role in three music bands I played for the last 15 years or so.
I took guitar and drums lessons for about aa year. Although that was too less, but it was an essential step that gave me a solid foundation which I grow. Self-teaching has pros and cons. Pros means that since I taught myself I have tried several books and DVD's, and exactly for this reason I know what is good and not for drummers at any stage in their playings. The cons is obviously the time-consuming aspects of the teaching as I had to try different books to see which one is good, something that could be avoided if you take a lesson (with experienced drummers).
So, I would like to share with you what I have gathered so far and hope that you will find some of them useful. Click the pictures below or the link on the right to begin.
